Palin blasts 'arrogance of man' in Copenhagen

The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

The now-finished climate change summit in Copenhagen marks the "arrogance of man," former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said this weekend. ...

She's absolutely correct! We didn't create this world. To think that we somehow have any control over its natural cycles is the height of human hubris!

Congressional Candidate Lieutenant Colonel Allen West

Absolutely amazing! This man is truly inspiring to listen to.

Shenanigans: Schumer has a flight to forget

ANNE SCHROEDER MULLINS | POLITICO CLICK

According to a House Republican aide who happened to be seated nearby, the notoriously chatty New York Democrat referred to a flight attendant as a “bitch” after she ordered him to turn off his phone before takeoff. ...

Typical arrogant, elitist, condescending, whollier-then-thou Democrat who thinks he's above the rules because he's a member of Congress. Problem is, the people of New York are too stupid to see that! I can't wait till the thinking portion of the country make he and others, like Pelosi, irrelevant next November!

If I had a pick for the 12th member, it'd be either Syracuse, Nebraska or Missouri.

Fast-Growing Christian Churches Crushed in China

International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News - FOXNews.com

Fast-Growing Christian Churches Crushed in China, Towering eight stories over wheat fields, the Golden Lamp Church was built to serve nearly 50,000 worshippers in the gritty heart of China's coal country. ...

My prayers go out to these people. I pray that God gives them strength to carry on and not lose faith. Christians in the US are facing bigotry, but nothing like they are elsewhere in the world. All you have to do is read Fox's Book of Martyrs and you can see what Christians have faced from the very beginning.

Capping Emissions, Trading On The Future - Forbes.com

The West's goals in Copenhagen are tantamount to suicide.

Whatever the results of the Copenhagen conference on climate change, one thing is for sure: Draconian reductions on carbon emissions will be tacitly accepted by the most developed economies and sloughed off by many developing ones. In essence, emerging economies get to cut their "carbon" intensity--a natural product of their economic evolution--while we get to cut our throats. ...

We are being sold a bill of goods by the likes of Al Gore, the "scientists" at East Anglia University, NASA and else where. Now upon finally being able to closely examine what we are being asked to buy we find out it's totally worthless and that Al Gore and his ilk are nothing more than modern day snake-oil salesmen. Yet, when we refuse to buy their garbage we are labeled "deniers" and called stupid for not wanting their crap. Well, thanks to a few thousand emails that were pilfered last week, we now know that they are the ones that deserve a moniker. So, hence forth, using their own methods, I label them WARMERS. A warmer being, one who tries to, knowingly, force the false premise of man-made global warming on others in an attempt to enrich themselves and enlarge their own power base for their own self-serving interests. Feel free to expand than definition. I know I didn't get the entire area encompassed.

Rants - Autoextremist.com ~ the bare-knuckled, unvarnished, high octane truth...

Autoextremist.com - an Internet magazine devoted to news, commentary and analysis of the auto industry - a weekly

Some of my colleagues in the media have been quick to canonize Ed Whitacre, characterizing the new “interim” GM CEO as some sort of visionary for his latest management shake-up this week. And judging from what I’ve been reading, “Big Ed” seems to be getting a huge pat on the back for making the most rudimentary executive moves he could have possibly made - some of which are highly suspect, at best – and for using the words “accountability” and “responsibility” and phrases like “taking risks” as examples of GM’s new mantra. ...

GM needs a true "car guy" running the show. "Big Ed" has publicly stated he doesn't know anything about cars. That, to me, is astounding! Other than the fact that he's an Obamao disciple, and got the job due to Obamao's fascist take over of GM, why would anyone hire someone to run a company in which they have no experience?! It makes absolutely no sense what so ever. It would appear that this same inept line of thinking has now cost several thousand more people in the auto industry their jobs due to the failure of the deal for the Penske Group to take over Saturn. Well, maybe they can get the Chinese company that bought Hummer to save the deal.

Jobs or Snow Jobs?

RealClearPolitics.com

President Obama keeps talking about the jobs his administration is "creating" but there are more people unemployed now than before he took office. How can there be more unemployment after so many jobs have been "created"? ...

As usual Dr. Sowell hits the nail squarely on the head. It has been shown that the supposed job growth, especially that attributed to the "stimulus," just like the evidence for global warming, has been fabricated! To believe anything coming from this administration takes a willing suspension of disbelief. Other than employing more bureaucrats, please name for me an instance where government has "created" jobs. As Dr. Sowell points out in this article, government doesn't have the ability to create jobs. Jobs must come from created wealth, or in other words, the wealthy. Unfortunately, we have an administration and leaders in Congress that are more interested in facilitating class warfare and the marxist notion of "spreading the wealth."

Constitutional Contempt

A MINORITY VIEW
BY WALTER WILLIAMS
RELEASE: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2009

At Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Oct. 29th press conference, a CNS News reporter asked, "Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?" Speaker Pelosi responded, "Are you serious? Are you serious?" The reporter said, "Yes, yes, I am." Not responding further, Pelosi shook her head and took a question from another reporter. Later on, Pelosi's press spokesman Nadeam Elshami told CNSNews.com about its question regarding constitutional authority mandating that individual Americans buy health insurance. "You can put this on the record. That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question." ...

When you have no answer to a question or know that you've been had you belittle the questioner and call the question irrelevant!
