If Ohio State still has trouble beating a Southeastern Conference team in 10 years, at least the word will be out long before January.

The Buckeyes and the Tennessee Volunteers agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2018-2019.

Tennessee hosts the first contest Sept. 1, 2018 in Knoxville, Tenn. Ohio Stadium will play host Sept. 7, 2019.

"Tennessee-Ohio State is a great natural matchup for two tradition-laden schools that are less than 400 miles apart," OSU Associate Athletic Director Steve Snapp said. "Playing the Volunteers for the first time during the regular season will be a great series for our fans..."

I'm glad to see this. Once again it proves that The Ohio State University football program wants to play the top programs. I just wish we didn't have to wait 10 years for this series.
